Jeopardy of Body Parts
Games are great for learning! I have created this Jeopardy game to review body parts. In this game students will practice their reading and writing skills. This activity is related to the same vocabulary that students already learned in the last activity in class. We will give them a definition and a hint of a picture of the body part being asked (this hint has a value of 50 points less of the total points). Please, feel free to download and used it on your class or modify it according to your methodology and your students’ characteristics.
Make sure you click on "Display image" to give your students a visual hint!
I hope you enjoy!

Food Crossword (PuzzleMaker and Educaplay)
Hello again,
I would like my students to have fun when learning. For this reason I created another activity for practicing the food vocabulary. This time my students will practice their writing and reading skills. This activity is a crossword of food vocabulary. I used two different platforms that allow us to create multimedia-teaching activities. This activity can be played individually or in pairs.
The first software I used is called Discovery School PuzzleMaker. This program creates worksheet and printable material so that you can print as many times as you wish. This program does not allow you to save the crossword online, so you need to save it as a Word document. Despite of this, it is a great. Try it… it is easy!
Please, click on the picture and download the printable crossword for your students. Also, feel free to click on this link to see the entire crossword:

The other site I used to create the crossword is Educaplay, and like the last one you can create multimedia-teaching activities. It is pretty easy to use and it has video tutorials that explain you how to create the material. In this case, the program creates an URL of the crossword or the material you have created. It is really handy and cool website! Do you want to play?

Jeopardy of Food
For this activity, I used a very versatile program called QuizBreak! from the platform Smile Clear. Among other things, this program allows the users to create appealing games for the ESL classes.
I created a Jeopardy game and I added different hints that help our students such as images, sentences, and audio files. It is very simple to use! When creating this game, my goal was to reinforce my students’ listening skills as well as their speaking and pronunciation proficiency. This Jeopardy is a student-centered game and it can be played in pairs or in groups.
Let’s play!
· Divide the class into teams (groups of 4-5 students). Allow them to create teams’ names.
· Choose a team to pick the first money box or point’s amount.
· Listen to the audio: First click on the “play audio” button, then students listen to the definition of the food being asked. In this first audio students will listen to any of the two native speakers saying a sentence and asking for a certain food word (thank you to my neighbors Tarah and Chris!). If you click on the second “play audio” button, you will listen to the correct answer. To see the correct word and sentence being said, click on "Show answer".
· Every team has an opportunity to answer each question and earn the point’s amount.
· After a designated amount of time ask the spokesperson of the group to write an answer.
· You will record the team names on the board and keep track of their score, if you have more than two teams. · Continue to play Jeopardy until all boxes have been asked.
